Apartment design guide

North Shore City Council has launched a Good Solution Guide for Apartments, which includes a case study on Trinity Apartments by McConnell Property. This guide provides good practice guidelines for people considering undertaking an apartment development and has been supported and endorsed by Auckland Regional Council, Auckland City Council, Manukau City Council, Waitakere City Council, the New Zealand Property Council, and the Ministry for the Environment.

The guide provides in-depth guidance, information, photos and illustrations relevant to apartment design. Context and other urban design issues are also discussed. As with all built projects, a high standard of design is one factor which can contribute directly to the success of an apartment development.

The guide is intended to be used by everyone involved in apartment development in New Zealand. This includes developers, their architects and councils undertaking assessments of apartment developments.
