Citygate has been designed specifically as a high quality commercial building using Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) principles. The intention is to provide a high quality ‘green building’ with a healthy and productive working environment while at the same time limiting the use of resources, energy, water, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This intent was central to the design of all the building elements.
Generous provision of car parking is provided. Ninety three spaces are available including disabled parking. To minimise the visual impact of car parking, it is set in the building basement and in an adjoining new car parking building.
Citygate will be fully fibre capable and is ideally located to take advantage of the Hamilton High Speed Fibre network. There are multiple connection options with average speeds of 100 Mbps symmetrical (same speed in both directions) but this can readily be upgraded to 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps via an available dark fibre service.
Tenants will have the ability to use a range of service providers and there are currently three main connections to the site from Chorus Telecom, TelstraClear and Velocity Networks. Significant flexibility and redundancy exists.
