Peter joined McConnell Property Limited in early 2001 to manage both property acquisitions, prior to their development or redevelopment, and property investments that are either being retained by McConnell Property Limited or our clients as long-term investments.

Prior to joining the team, Peter had over 30 years employment with the South British Group and then the merged South British / NZI Group all of that time in either Trust or Investment roles.

As debenture Trust Manager Peter was responsible for debenture trust unsecured notes and similar Trusts on behalf of lenders to major corporates.

Following the merger of the two insurance companies Peter moved on to managing investments in large Superannuation Funds and other similar funds followed by becoming the development manager for the newly formed NZI Investment Services division with responsibility for developing unit trusts, investment companies and other investment vehicles and regular reporting to investors.

Following NZI’s decision to divest itself at financial services, Peter was part of the team responsible for the sell down of assets including the completion of property developments and sell down of large property investments.

Peter has been actively involved in a number of large-scale and high profile development projects and currently manages the acquisition and divestment of assets for the company.  He is also a retired member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
