Dean has worked in the property industry for over 16 years and his experience covers all facets of the development process having managed substantial commercial, leisure, hotel and retail projects for corporates including SKYCITY Entertainment Group, Westfield New Zealand and Arrow International.

In particular, Dean managed the master planning through to resource consent lodgement for the redevelopment of the 5,500sqm Downtown Shopping Centre site for Westfield New Zealand.  This resulted in a 70,000sqm mixed use development including a 34 level premium grade office tower, a two level retail podium and five levels of basement car parking.

This involved preparing the development brief, undertaking the feasibility, consultant selection and anchor tenant negotiations.

Dean also managed from concept to completion the development of the NZD$145 million SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre and 5-star Grand Hotel.  In his role at SKYCITY Dean was also involved in the feasibility and due diligence process of other hotel and resort opportunities being considered.

Dean most recently managed the development of the Kawarau Village resort (Kawarau Falls) located in Queenstown.  Kawarau Village is a NZD$300 million development encompassing a 5-star Hilton Hotel, 4-star hotel and four stand alone serviced apartments buildings.
