Martin has more than 25 years experience in the UK and Australian property markets, he joined McConnell Property in April 2003. Martin was previously Director of Corporate Advisory with CRI, an Australian property development and services group, specialising in partnering with asset-owners to create value from under-utilised assets. CRI was at the forefront of office and office park development
in the North Ryde technology corridor with projects including Microsoft’s Head Office, CSC, Fujitsu Centre, Mayne Health and Syntegra.

In this role he managed joint venture developments and undertook master planning exercises with BHP, One Steel, Boral, Macquarie University, James Cook University, Latrobe University, and Penrith
Lakes Development Corporation.

A significant project was managing the redevelopment of the 330ha Greystanes Quarry for industrial, residential, retail, recreation and open space, and office uses. These projects focused on risk sharing, deal structuring, identifying different types of income streams (to meet the joint venture’s requirements), and developing uses that affiliated with existing on-site uses / businesses.

With Citistate Limited, Martin developed Australia on Collins in Melbourne, a 200 room hotel and multi-level retail complex.

Working as a Development Manager with Capital and Counties in the 1980s, Martin also developed some of the first office parks in Sydney and Brisbane – Epping Office Park, Cambridge Office Park, Hurstville Office Park, Prudential Centre, Kings Row Office Park, and 159 Coronation Drive. These projects featured a series of low-rise office buildings with new levels of amenity from landscaping,
recreational facilities and undercroft parking.
